Section 94a contributions are a levy imposed by councils to assist in the provision of public amenities and services that are required as a consequence of the proposed development. They are a fixed levy based on a percentage of the expected development cost.
If the development cost is expected to exceed $500,000 the cost estimate must be prepared by Registered Quantity Surveyors who are members of the Australia Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS).
